Your privacy
What we keep about you, why we keep it, and who can see it. In plain words.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, trackers, adverts or analytics. If you log in here, your browser keeps a sign-in key on your device so you stay logged in, until you log out. Your password goes straight to our servers and isn't kept by the website.
Your account
- Your @name and display name, so people can find and recognise you.
- Your password, which is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read it, us included.
- Your birth date, to tell whether your account is a Junior account. It's never shown to anyone.
- A phone number, if you add one, used only to text you a code if you forget your password. We keep a scrambled copy and the last few digits, never the number itself.
- Your bio and profile picture, if you add them.
What you do in the game
- Your look and saved outfits, the items you own, your tokens and the gifts you send and receive.
- The rooms you make, with everything built in them, and your settings.
- Your friends, the people you've blocked and who you subscribe to.
- Messages you send to friends.
- Photos you choose to share with Upload To VoxFox in your backpack, with when you shared them and the room you were in. Photos you don't upload stay on your own device.
- Reports and feedback you send us, with the room you were in.
- When you were last online, so your friends can see whether you're about.
Who can see what
Your @name, display name, bio, profile picture and look can be seen by other players. Photos you upload are public: anyone can see them on the Photos page and your profile, with your name, when you shared them and the room. Photos you shared before the website's Photos page opened stay private, and are never shown there. Only your friends can see whether you're online and which room you're in, and a private room only ever shows as "Private". Anyone you've blocked, or who has blocked you, can't see you at all.
Junior accounts are hidden: other players can't find them, add them or see their profile.
Where it's kept
On our servers with Amazon Web Services in the United States. We back it up every night and keep each backup for 30 days. Your address on the internet is used to stop people flooding our servers, and isn't stored with your account.
What we never do
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Your choices
You can change your display name, bio, picture and phone number in the game at any time, and delete any photo you've uploaded from this website (open it on the Photos page or your profile and choose Delete). To ask what we hold about you, or to have your account deleted, use the feedback tool in the game, and we'll get back to you.
